When starting the car, there is generally a long crank before the engine fires. Sometimes, it can take a number of cranks before the car starts. Once started, the idle will go up and down and sound very erratic. This is normal and there is nothing to worry about. The idle will even out and the car will run smoothly after a few minutes. Lamborghini says that this period of erratic idling is the computers setting themselves and getting the car ready for driving.
It is a good idea to let the car get to running temperature before your drive it. This allows all parts of the car to get lubricated properly. It will also make gear changing easier. Driving cold makes the gears hard to change. If you drive your car and it is hard to get it into gear, then you may have not warmed the car up enough or your clutch has problems.
